Starting an entrepreneurial journey is usually tedious but it requires tenacity and perseverance to ensure that a business is established and sustained over a number of years. Nolan Bushnell, an Entrepreneur once said “The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.”

Deciding to start that dream business is one side of the coin but the other critical aspect is knowing how to go about making that business a reality and sustainable over a number of years. It is evident that many people start businesses in home country and succeed but many others also start businesses and are not able sustain overtime due to various reasons including initial failures and disappoints.

There is therefore the need to know what to consider to starting a lasting business that can transcend generations. There are countless approaches to consider in starting a business including the nature of business, the target market, asset requirements, and registration of business among many others.
